Abe Boyts

CHAFFEE - Stirling H. "Abe" Boyts, 81, died at 5:30 p.m. July 23, 2004, near Blomeyer.

Born Aug. 23, 1922, in Puxico, son of the late John U. and Marie May Harbin Boyts, he retired as a railroad conductor for Frisco and Burlington Northern Railway. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the First Baptist Church and life member of VFW Post 3127 of Chaffee.

On Oct. 13, 1948, he married Alva Rea Holland who preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 2002.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janet K. Loucks of Chaffee and Tamara Hindman of Advance; and two grandchildren, Jillian Carilli of Yokosuka, Japan, and John S. Loucks of St. Louis.

One sister also preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be conducted at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
