EAST PRAIRIE - Rick Howton, 51, died Nov. 18, 2001, at the Howton Farm near East Prairie.
Born Oct. 9, 1949, in Cairo, Ill., son of the late Charles L. and Nadine Faris Howton, he lived in Mississippi County all his life, where he owned and operated Pork Done Right in East Prairie and was a landowner. He was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church.
On July 30, 1977, at Caruthersville, he married Ellenann Grigory who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one half brother, Ted Stagner of Tacoma, Wash.; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday with Jim Norris, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Jon Hutcheson, Andy Jackson, Scott Mainord, Joe Sorrells, Fieldin LaPlant, Charles LaPlant, Charlie Marcum, Steven Douglas and Joey Manning.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Gene Ponder, Joel Savell and Jack Emory.
