BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Rev. James R. Poe, 66, died Nov. 18, 2001, in Bloomington.
Born June 1, 1935, in Bloomfield, Mo., son of Roy Poe of Bloomfield and the late Agnes Hankins Poe, he was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a minister for the United Methodist Church and retired as pastor of the Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church in Illinois.
On Oct. 7, 1967, he married Marian Rae Keys who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and father include: one son, Stephen Poe of Bloomington; two daughters, Kim Bogle of Maroa and Christine Jacobs of Watseka; two sisters, Carolyn Bell of Dexter, Mo., and Brenda Horner of Imperial, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
One sister, Linda Lisewski, preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Don Dunavin officiating.
