SIKESTON - Dr. T.C. McClure and Leo Fisher have bagged the limit of one moose and one deer on an hunting expedition into Canada and have motored south into South Dakota for pheasant shooting, according to word received here Thursday.

FULTON - Dick Tongate, a freshman at Wheaton College, is recovering from pulled tendons and ligaments in an ankle, an injury received more than two weeks ago while playing softball on the team of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

SIKESTON - The crafts are almost ready for Sunday's Daughters of Isabella craft auction, scheduled at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Tanner Street. Sharon Chouinard, co-chairman of the annual event, said over 177 items were donated for the auction last year.


SIKESTON - Kim Wymer, daughter of Mrs. Nancy Alcorn, presides as honored queen of the International Order of Job's Daughters of the Masonic Temple for the fall term of 1981.

SIKESTON - Seven people will be honored during the Daughters of Sunset annual recognition banquet, slated for Saturday at the West End Baptist Church. During the evening's activities, the organization will honor John L. Gilliam, Bettralean Kirk, Flora Holt, Richard James, Alberta Gardner, Stephen Borgsmiller and Beatrice Patterson.


SIKESTON - The Mercantile Bank team of the Sikeston Youth Soccer League Striker Division, took first place in the regular season and the postseason tournament with a record of 7-1. Team members are John Angelie, Josh Brase, Heath McGill, Eric Beard, Alison Pearson, Kevin Walters, Stanley Perkins, Doyle Noe, Andy Holt and Sadat Hubbs.
