Motorist injured

CARUTHERSVILLE - A Portageville man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound vehicle driven on Pemiscot County East Outer Road, two miles south of Route A at 3:44 p.m. by 85-year-old Boyd Curtis of Portageville pulled from a driveway and into the path of Phillip Shelly, 41 of Caruthersville who was driving a northbound freightliner.

Curtis was taken by air evac to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tenn.
