BELL CITY - Norman Dwight Halford, 58, died July 22, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 3, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Waymon and Cecile Brotherton Halford, he graduated in 1964 from Bell City High School. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a farmer and member of Hooe Baptist Church in Oran.

On April 19, 1968, at Oran, he married Rita Stanfield who survives of the home.

Also surviving are a son, Bradley Dwight Halford of Bell City; and his sister, Margaret Kinder of Painton.

His brother preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The Revs. J.D. McClard and Chad Bles will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
