Sikeston jayvee wins

CAPE GIRARDEAU - The Sikeston junior varsity basketball team advanced to the consolation championship in the Notre Dame Junior Varsity Tournament with a 59-46 win over Farmington on Wednesday.

Sikeston played Cape Central today at 11 a.m. in the consolation.

"We came out with good intensity -- everybody got to play and everybody played well," said Sikeston junior varsity coach Brian James.

Sikeston was led in scoring by Freddie Wiggins and Apollo Patterson with 12 points each. Marcus McCaster added eight points.
