SIKESTON - A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Edwards of Sikeston and a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Garland Nelson of Wyatt at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

SIKESTON - John Chadd's name has been added to the list of those who have filed for the City Council election, according to Steve Matthews, Sikeston city clerk. Matthews said that with a third person in the race now, a primary election would have to be held to narrow the field to two individuals. The primary election will be held Feb. 2, 1982, and the general election will be held April 6, 1982.


SIKESTON - Sikeston Municipal Airport Manager Don Wilson announced Wednesday that the airport was able to reduce the prices of aviation fuel products 5 cents per gallon.

SIKESTON - Facing budget cuts and a declining student population, the Sikeston R-6 School Board was forced to amend its budget a third time this year. In October, Gov. John Ashcroft cut state funds to all Missouri school districts in order to pay for desegregation costs in St. Louis and Kansas City.


SIKESTON - Singer Narvel Felts will be featured Friday at the Sikeston Family Music Theater.


CHAFFEE - Plans are now finalized for Chaffee's Christmas Parade Bazaar scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It will be held in the River City CB Club Activity Center at 113-115 W. Yoakum. Featured will be a special display which will make computerized children's books.
