ORAN - Floyd Segers, 57, died July 21, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 23, 1946, in Bell City, son of the late Willie and Virginia Pullen Seger, he worked for Procter and Gamble in Cape Girardeau for more than 28 years before retiring. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was affiliated with the Devine Temple True Church of God in Oran, where he was Sunday school superintendent.
On June 12, 1965, he married Ella Smoot Segers who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Johnathan Segers and LaRone Segers of Oran; four daughters, Florella Segers of Oran, Rosetta Trip and Ramona Howard of St. Louis and Jackie Jones of Aliceville, Ala.; one brother, William Segers of St. Louis; four sisters, Ora Bell and Mary Sisson of Oran, Leisa Segers of St. Louis and Jerlean Winston of Marion, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday. Elder Anthony C. Green, pastor of Rhema Word Breakthrough International Ministries of Cape Girardeau, will officiate.
Burial will be held Monday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
