CAPE GIRARDEAU - Bonnie Geraldine Moxey, 73, died Dec. 22, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1928, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Floyd E. and Clara Jane Laney Patton, she earned a masters degree in education from Texas Women's University. A member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, where she was also a member of WMU and taught Sunday school, she was a teacher in the Southeast Missouri State University Home Economics Department for 13 years and member of the Cape County Professional Home Economists.
On Dec. 25, 1946, in St. Louis, she married Ken Moxey who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Lisa Moxey of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Bob White of Cape Girardeau and Gayle and Ken Reeves of Ironton; one brother, Keith Patton of Oakdale, Ill.; one sister, Marlene Brammeier of Oakdale; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday with Dr. Andy Pratt officiating.
Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
