Teens held on robbery charges

SIKESTON - Three Sikeston teen-agers face charges for the robbery of a pizza delivery person.

Department of Public Safety Director Drew Juden reported the arrest of Chris Turner and Xavier Ray in connection with the Dec. 20 robbery of a Pizza Hut delivery person.

During their investigation, Juden said, it was determined Turner was also involved along with Gailon Applewhite and a third suspect in the robbery of a Domino's pizza delivery person on Nov. 27.

Turner, 17, of 401 Fletcher St. in Sikeston, is charged with two counts of first degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action through the Scott County Prosecutor's office. Bond is set at $250,000.

Also bond is set at $250,000 for Ray, 18, of 424 Sunset St. Ray is charged with one count of first degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Currently being held in the Scott County Jail on separate charges, Applewhite, 16, is charged with one count of first degree robbery and one count of armed criminal action. His bond is set at $250,000 also.
