SIKESTON - Mrs. Nora Dudley has sold her home at 577 Park Avenue to H.G. Cathey of Canalou, who with Mrs. Cathey and their children, will occupy it as their home in September.

EAST PRAIRIE - The reorganization of the school Dogwood C-5 into East Prairie R-7 district, was passed by the voters Thursday 271 to 7. The reorganization becomes effective immediately, according to East Prairie R-7 Supt. Ray Melton, and a six-man board will be elected by July 28.

CHARLESTON - Zoning changes, bid openings and a public hearing headed the agenda of Tuesday evening's City Council meeting which also brought an annexation request.

SIKESTON - Brian Menz was the winner of the First Christian Church's raffle of tickets to a St. Louis Cardinals double header weekend for four. Menz won four tickets to games Friday night and Saturday afternoon, plus hotel accommodations Friday night at the Embassy Suites and $100 spending money. Proceeds will fund two summer mission workcamp trips for the church youth.

PARMA - The 1994 Parma Girls All-Star Softball League ended the season with an 8-5 record. The players were: Shawan Williams, Tammy Johnson, Nicole Ross, Courtney Giddens, Chasity Walker, Teennille Pendleton, Pricilla Johnson, Kristi Wagner (recipient of this year's Most Valuable Player Award), Deanna Gregg, M. Beth Westmoreland, Yolanda "Ree" Tate and Jamie Vaughn. The coaches were Keith Sapp and Brad Aycock. The score keeper for this team was Russell Walker.
