BEMENT COMMUNITY -- Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Stauffer will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Tuesday.

Stauffer and the former Beatrice Redman were married Dec. 11, 1942, at St. Mark's Methodist Church in Detroit.

Stauffer is a graduate of Diehlstadt High School and attended the Missouri School of Mines at Rolla. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Mrs. Stauffer is a graduate of Bell City High School. She worked for Michigan Telephone Co. in Detroit.

The couple have two children, Kay Tolliver of Cape Girardeau and Dale Stauffer of Westwood, Mass.

The couple reside in the Bement Community.
