SIKESTON - The First National Bank donated approximately five acres of land to the City of Sikeston for use as a city park. The land, located on Illinois Avenue, will be used by the city as the Mary Lou Montgomery Memorial Park. "It is with pleasure that we are able to donate this land to the citizens of our community," said Troy Wilson, president and chief executive officer of the bank. "Currently, there are no parks or recreational facilities in this area of town. It is our hope this park will fulfill a need in our community." The park is named after the late Mary Lou Montgomery, "a woman who gave untold hours of service to Sikeston," he said.
