Bertrand man hurt in accident

CHARLESTON - An accident that occurred Thursday night resulted in moderate injuries for an area man.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 6:17 p.m. on Mississippi County Highway UU, two miles south of Charleston, when a northbound vehicle driven by Fred Tidwell, 74, of Bertrand ran into a disc being towed on a northbound 1991 Case International Tractor which was being driven by Al Goodin, 38, of Charleston.

Tidwell was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
