Word to the wise: Be careful of your sales. We looked at an item on Friday night that was $7.99. The next day they had a sale that was 10 percent off, but the shirt had gone up to $9.99. So beware and be sure to check your prices.

I would like to SpeakOut about the delivery of the Standard Democrat newspaper in Dexter. On Sunday night at 7 p.m., I was at four different places and none of them had the Sikeston newspaper. Tonight I went to two different places a little later and one did actually have a paper. I would like to see more newspapers in Dexter and I think it would help you financially, too.

My comment is to the inmates in the Charleston jail. I don't feel you should have any kind of medical benefits because you have cost the state enough by being in trouble. As far as having a way to get your teeth fixed, it's not like you're going to be seeing anybody except the people in jail who committed the crime with you. Also, you talk about if you have a heart attack that you'll have to wait on a nurse. Well, what about the people you rob or murder? You are locked up behind bars because you are part of the problem. You do not deserve any type of Medicare, Medicaid or anything except for labor and wait because of the crimes you have committed.

This is to the Charleston inmate who has been incarcerated since May 22, 2001, and said he was trying to get his teeth fixed but still wasn't able to accomplish it. Why should my tax money go to pay to get your teeth fixed because you couldn't obey the law? I don't have dental where I work and I have a decent job, and I get out and work.

I am so tired of people throwing trash out their car windows and into my driveway, then I have to go out and pick it up. I remember when there was a $500 fine for littering. They had signs all over town to let you know if you were caught littering you would get a $500 fine. You saw no littering. Now it's everywhere you look. They just throw it out the window and are too lazy to take it home and throw it in the trash. I'm so sick and tired of seeing it, but I don't know what I can do about it.
