BLOOMFIELD - Roy Ashley Poe, 90, died Dec. 9, 2001, at Central Gardens in Dexter.
Born Aug. 22, 1911, in Bloomfield, son of the late Terry and Cora Stacey Poe, he was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield and retired from Elder Manufacturing Company in 1975. A 50-year member and past master of Bloomfield Masonic Lodge 153 AF&AM, he was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.
On Dec. 24, 1932, he married Agnes Hankins who preceded him in death on April 30, 1992.
In January 1993 he married Hollie Yeakey who preceded him in death in March 2000.
He was also preceded in death by one son, the Rev. James R. Poe, on Nov. 18, 2001, and one daughter, Linda Liszewski, on April 10, 1992.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carolyn Bell of Dexter and Brenda Horner of Imperial; and 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home where Masonic rites are scheduled for 7 p.m. by Bloomfield Lodge 153.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating.
Burial will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
