Call 471-6636

I agree with the caller who spoke out about members of Congress giving themselves an automatic raise every year. Look how long it was before minimum wage got a hike. You can talk all you want about Clinton, but we did get a raise on minimum wage when he was in there. He did do what he said he was going to do. They make more in a year than most of us make in 10 years out here; they make more in one week than we make in 10 years. It's sad that our jobs are all going to Mexico. A bunch of us are laid off and earning no money. Let's all band together and get something done about this.

I would like to compliment a man who works at Market Place. His name is Bill and he bags the food. He always has a smile on his face and shows courtesy and respect toward the customers. I just want to compliment Market Place for having such an employee as Bill. It's not only him, but it seems like all the employees at Market Place are good people and give good service. If you have any questions or can't find something, they're glad to help you. I'm not an employee; I'm just a customer. But I just want to say thanks to Bill for being so kind and showing courtesy and respect. He asks if you want paper or plastic when he bags your groceries. I understand he's a Christian which makes him so much greater. Just keep up the good work. The people in the flower department are also really nice and we customers deserve service such as this.

Our dog, Lady, was let out on Jan. 8 to do her duty and she never came back home. She is a German Shepherd mix, her back and sides are black with some rusty brown blend. She has a bushy tail and a dirty white belly. We live in the Ridgeview Subdivision off Salcedo Road. If someone has found her, we have filed a lost dog claim with the Sikeston Bootheel Humane Society. Please take her there. We would like to have her back.
