Call 471-6636

Will the person who does upholstery please put your number back in the paper again? I've lost it and I need some upholstery work done.

The main reason people are Republicans is that they think they will pay less taxes if they are under a Republican administration. It all boils down to the almighty dollar, as usual.

This is in regards to the Jan. 7 SpeakOut where someone was wanting to know who repairs grandfather clocks. The only person I know is Edgar Kinser and his number is (573) 568-4628. He has a shop in Bloomfield.

In response to the person who called in stating the Sikeston athletic department was in shambles I have just one word to say to them, "Baseball!"

I'll tell you the difference between the stores in Sikeston and Cape Girardeau. It's the people who work here. I went into a place and ordered a chili dog with no cheese. They brought my chili dog - no bun. I called them and told them I needed a bun with my chili dog. It took them 15 minutes and they still didn't bring it out. So when I called back the guy told me I was being rude because I was demanding a bun for my chili dog. When I went to Cape, there's a good hamburger place up there, and I got my kids' meal and drove off. One hamburger had mayonnaise on it, so I took it back. I was ready for a big affair because of the experience I had in Sikeston. I told them we didn't want mayonnaise on the sandwich and they apologized for it, said it was their mistake and then fixed our meals for nothing. I wish we could get service like that in Sikeston.

Why is China going to point its missiles at the United States? And why are we buying from China? If they're going to point their missiles at us, why don't we stop buying from them and buy from within the United States only? I refuse to buy anything that is made in China.

I was really excited about finding what happened to ex-President Clinton's dog Buddy. So I called the Sikeston Hotline. It cost me $670 before they finally came up with a true answer. The true answer is that Buddy got so sick and tired of President Clinton's shenanigans that he committed suicide.
