BLOOMFIELD -- The Stoddard County Conference Tournament opened on Monday night with second-seeded Bell City routing Woodland 102-72, and fourth-seeded Advance blistering Puxico, 84-48.
Third-seeded Bernie will play Richland today at 5:30 p.m., followed by top-seeded Dexter against Bloomfield at 8:30 p.m.
The Cubs were on fire offensively, knocking down nine 3-pointers in the blowout win.
C.J. Hadley led the charge with three treys, leading all Bell City scorers with 30 points. Eric Henry finished with 24, followed by Dominitrix Johnson with 19 and Kenyon Wright with nine.
Michael Owens scored a game-high 31 points for Woodland, followed by Luke Johnson with 15 and Alex VanGennip with 13.
Bell City will face the winner of tonight's Bernie-Richland game on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
Advance had a surprisingly easy time with Puxico, beating the Indians 84-48.
Jason Bahr scored 17 points for the Hornets, followed by Cain Kelly with 16. Aaron Cantrell and Andrew Jenkins each scored 11, while Chris Walker and Jared Ritter each contributed 10.
Derek Binford led all Puxico scorers with 13 points, followed by Kyle Hale with 10 and Matt Fox with nine.
Advance will face the winner of tonight's Dexter-Bloomfield game at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
