SIKESTON - Ralph Edward McClellan, 80, died at 3:25 a.m. Jan. 20, 2002, at the Clearview Nursing Center.
Born Nov. 13, 1921, in Sikeston, son of the late James Henry and Emma Bell Daniels McClellan, he was a salesman for the McKnight-Keaton Company in Sikeston and the M. Livingston Company in Paducah, Ky. A veteran of the U.S. Army Third Army in World War II, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Battle of the Bulge award. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
On Jan. 5, 1942, in Benton, he married Doris Johnson McClellan who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Edward and Charlotte McClellan of Gallatin, Tenn., Mark Wayne and Diana McClellan of Scott City, James Michael and Kathy McClellan of Sikeston and John Paul and Diane McClellan of O'Fallon; one daughter, Diane Marie Hadley of Sikeston; and 13 grandchildren.
Six brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Pat Hogan and Johnny Hester, ministers of Shady Acres Church of Christ, officiating.
The Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program will conduct full military rites at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Allen McClellan, David Wolf, John Ensor, Don Moore, Marian Pearson and Johnny Hester.
