Michael Garner

SIKESTON - Michael Daniel Garner, 16, died at 8:15 a.m. Jan. 20, 2002, at his home.

Born Sept. 10, 1985, in Sikeston, son of Chris Austin Garner and Julie Kay Harp Hays of Sikeston, he was a sophomore at Sikeston Senior High School and attended Church on the Rock.

Survivors in addition to his parents include: one brother, Scott Hays of the home; one sister, Alyssa Garner of the home; one half brother, Jerry Garner of Tiowa, Okla.; one half sister, Crystal Garner of Tiowa; his maternal grandparents, Ann and Allen Harp of Sikeston; paternal grandparents, W.A. "Russ" and Beulah Garner of Sikeston; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. His uncle, the Rev. Kenny Harp of Benton, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Charles DeBerry, Carl Hester, Tim Harp, Vernon Lutes, Terry Burton and Jerry Garner.
