ST. LOUIS - Louis S. Coleman, 73, died Dec. 11, 2001, at New Haven Meadows Nursing Home in Florissant.
Born Dec. 24, 1927, in Mound Bayou, Miss., son of the late Leroy and Lydia Spellers Gary, he had lived in Missouri for over 60 years. A graduate of Washington Tech High School in St. Louis, he was a concierge for a hotel and a member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as an usher.
Survivors include: four brothers, Levoner Gary of Joliet, Ill., Leroy Gary and Raymond Spellers of Chicago, Ill., and John Gary of Columbus, Ga.; and three sisters, Julia Gary and Dorothy Gary of Charleston and Creacy Gillespie of Bertrand.
Friends may call from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston. Steve Betts will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
