SIKESTON - Mildred "Dooley" Gilmore, 79, died Dec. 15, 2001, at her home.
Born Feb. 19, 1922, at Charleston, daughter of the late Ward and Etna Hay DeField, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston.
On Aug. 9, 1941, she married Weber Gilmore who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, George Weber Gilmore Jr. and H. Marvin Gilmore of Sikeston; two brothers, Edward DeField and Fred DeField of Charleston; and five grandchildren, Brian Green of Sikeston, Boyd Green of Portland, Ore., Hugh M. Gilmore of Cape Girardeau, G.W. Gilmore III of Sikeston and Amanda Gilmore of Advance; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Suzanne Gilmore and one son, Dr. David M. Gilmore.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Paul Walker, a First Christian minister from Lakeland, Fla., officiating.
Burial will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery near Morley
