SIKESTON - Eleanor McClure Story, 75, died at 12:02 a.m. July 10, 2002, at her home.

Born Aug. 29, 1927, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Dr. Thomas C. and Virginia Hetherington McClure, she lived in Sikeston most of her life and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.

Her husband, George Garrison Story, preceded her in death on July 22, 1998.

Survivors include: two sons, Thomas H. Story and Ernest E. "Pete" Story of Charleston; four grandchildren, George Russell Story, Thomas Hetherington Story Jr., Mary Margaret Story and Thomas Ann "Britt" Story of Charleston; and one great-grandson, George Marshall Story of Charleston.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the family home, 114 E. Wakefield St. in Sikeston.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Sandra Schaller, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
