Bessie Little

CHAFFEE - Bessie Little, 73, died at 12:20 p.m. July 19, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 24, 1931, at Nashville, Tenn., daughter of the late William and Tommie Pearl Burke Clifton, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On Sept. 20, 1947, she married Charles E. Little who preceded her in death on July 5, 1977.

Survivors include: five sons, Thomas Little and Gregory Little of Jackson, David Little of Cape Girardeau and Bobby Little and Roger Little of Chaffee; five daughters, Gail Heimbach, Donna Schafer and Carol McLemore of Jackson, Paula Flanner of Marble Hill and Wanda Little of St. Louis; and 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jack Bishop will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David Little, Charles Schafer, Samuel Schafer, Charles Hodge, Alex Little and Steven McLemore.
