SIKESTON - The traffic signal that continues to flash at the corner of Malone Avenue and New Madrid Street may keep flashing to allow stop-and-go traffic on New Madrid, while traffic on Malone remains free-flowing. And according to local officials who have studied the project, residents of Sikeston don't seem to mind. The light has been flashing since February and may continue to do so since the traffic congestion has been reduced and motorists' complaints of traffic problems have decreased.
