DEXTER -- Delmer A. Pruitt, 81, died Nov. 29, 2006, at the Cypress Point Healthcare Facility.

Born Dec. 25, 1924, near Dexter, son of the late Ambrose Lewis and Lula Mae Hull Pruitt, he had lived in the Dexter and Poplar Bluff area most of his life. He owned Pruitt Glass from 1960 to 1972 and was a past member and charter member of the Dexter Elks Lodge. He was also a past member of the Lions Club.

On Aug. 17, 1995, in Las Vegas, he married Pauline A. Williamson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Pamela Duley of Dexter; two stepsons, Kenneth Walters of Dexter and Charles Walters of Estes Park, Colo.; one sister, Susie Griffin of Memphis, Tenn.; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday until time for services at 1 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Bill Garrett of Bernie will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
