VANDUSER - B.T. Johnson, 71, died at 11:04 p.m. July 3, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an apparent heart attack.
Born June 26, 1933, in Blytheville, Ark., son of the late Rice "R.A.P." and Elve Hargett Johnson, he was a farmer and member of the Vanduser Baptist Church. He had served on the Production Credit Association Advisory Committee and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
On June 19, 1953, at Hernando, Miss., he married Phyllis Pigman who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Tony Johnson of Vanduser; one daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Tim Monroe of Vanduser; one brother, Jimmy P. Johnson of Benton; one sister, Ruth Bramlett of Vanduser; three grandchildren, Jaclyn Monroe, Chris Monroe and Stacy Monroe of Vanduser; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Monroe of Vanduser; and several nieces and nephews.
Three sisters and one half brother preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Glenn A. Rogers, pastor of the Vanduser Baptist Church, will officiate.
The Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be: Buddy Alberson, Charles Ulmer, Darrin Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Kevin Bramlett and Mike Partin.
