LITHONIA, Ga. - Leler Clark, 86, formerly of Charleston, Mo., and Cairo, Ill., died Nov. 29, 2002, at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Born April 9, 1916, in Blytheville, Ark., to the late Rev. George and Mandy Orange Mains, she moved in the early 1940s to Charleston where he became a member of the Mercy Seat Baptist Church. He moved in Cairo in 1959.
On April 10, 1932, in Luxola, Ark., she married Cary Clark, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Ollie and Emma Clark of Dalton, Ill., Delecton and Betty Clark of Lithonia and Ronald and Karen Clark of Stone Mountain, Ga.; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Mandy Collins and Queen Pittman of Chicago, Pearl and Don Rivas of Stone Mountain, Shirley and Fran Green of Cairo and Brenda Brown of Lithonia; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Cary Clark Jr., and one daughter, Rosetta Clark Johnson, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until services scheduled for noon Saturday at the Cairo High School Gymnasium. The Rev. Johnnie Posey, pastor of the Mercy Seat Baptist Church, and Ronald Clark will officiate.
