SIKESTON - Bob Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clay A. Mitchell, was named a member of the Poplar Bluff American Republic's All Star Southeast Missouri High School second team. His name was carried on the roster as a halfback and appeared in Saturday's issue.

SIKESTON - Showing at the Malone Theater Dec. 3-4 will be The "Major and the Minor" with Ginger Rogers and Ray Milland. On the screen at the Rex Theater will be "Submarine Raider" with John Howard and Marguerite Chapman.

MOREHOUSE - R.P. Schuchart Jr., dairyman from Morehouse, was re-elected president of District 13 board of American Dairy Association of Missouri at their annual meeting held at Poplar Bluff High School Thursday. Other officers elected were Shelby Crow, Dexter, vice president; and Carl Todt, Sikeston, re-elected secretary.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Community Choir will present a concert Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

SIKESTON - They come to Perry Jolliff at different ages and from different backgrounds, but they all share one interest. They want to fly. Jolliff recently marked his 25th year of flight instruction at the Sikeston Municipal Airport.

ORAN - Playing in front of a wall-to-wall partisan crowd, Oran used a hard-nosed man-to-man defense on Monday to overtake Kelly 61-45 and advance to the second round of the Oran Invitational. Other first-round games saw Scott Central rout Leopold, 84-59; and Richland defeat Bell City, 93-69.
