Nave - Debrock

PORTAGEVILLE -- Jennifer Renee Nave and Lanson Ivan Debrock exchanged wedding vows in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony Jan. 3, 2004, at St. Eustachius Catholic Church before the Rev. John Friedel. Mary Catherine Barnes of Portageville and Kristine Schreckenberg, sister of the bridegroom, served as lectors.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Debbie Nave of Portageville and parents of the bridegroom are Ivan and Joann Debrock of Chaffee.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line lace-up designer gown by Maggie Sottero which was created with a draped satin overlay. The gown featured lightly beaded tulle panels at the side front and center back sweep train. A floral beaded design comprised of Swarovski crystals, pearls, sequins and ice blue seed beads embellished the front neckline. The bride carried a bouquet of red roses.

Organist Gary Clark and soloist Caitlyn Cross provided music for the ceremony. Selections included, "Where There is Love," "Jesu, Joy of My Desiring," "Canon in D," "In This Very Room" and "How Beautiful."

Julie Wrather of Columbia and Kelly Barnes of Oxford, Miss., served the bride as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Debrock of Chaffee, sister of the bridegroom; Carla Malin of Caruthersville, cousin of the bride; and Sarah Hagan and Tasha Iorio of Cape Girardeau, friends of the bride. Haylee Walker, daughter of Rich and Shelly Walker of Portageville, was flower girl.

Mark Schultz of Cape Girardeau attended the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were Danny Husegen and Kevin Meyer of St. Louis and Donnie Lawson, Sean Hagan and Jerry Wolsey, all of Cape Girardeau. Ring bearer was Blake Irions, cousin of the bride and son of Brian and Chasity Irions of Hayti.

Ushers were Jon Walker of Jonesboro, Ark., Jay Patton of Cleveland, Miss., Jeff Bourbon of Cape Girardeau and Terry Schreckenberg of Chaffee.

Erin Jefferies was guest book attendant and program attendant was Lauren Bracey, both of Portageville.

A meal was catered by Premier Catering at the wedding reception, held in the University of Missouri Rone Hall, where entertainment was provided by Pro Music of Sikeston.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the hall by Strawberry's of Holcomb.

Several wedding showers were given to honor the couple. Hosts included the ladies of the Methodist Church, ladies of the Catholic Church and a family shower in Chaffee, given by Amy Debrock and Kristine Schreckenberg.

Mrs. Debrock is a registered nurse at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau and her husband is an engineer for Alan Wire in Sikeston.

Following a honeymoon trip to Couples Resort in Ocho-Rios, Jamaica, they are making their home in Cape Girardeau.
