SIKESTON - Janice F. Hasty, 59, died June 27, 2004, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born March 12, 1945, in Buchanan, Tenn., daughter of Velda Alton of Puryear, Tenn., and the late Hubert Alton, she was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
On July 14, 1973, in Elizabeth City, N.C., she married Dennis Hasty who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: one son, Chris Hasty of Sikeston; one daughter, Tammy Hasty of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Fay Alton of Paris, Tenn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita and Kenneth White of Puryear and Rita and Mike Bogess of Hazel, Ky.; her father- and mother-in-law, Ettel and Dorothy Hasty of Vanduser; three brothers-in-law and their wives, Dean Hasty of Sikeston, Lonnie and Brenda Hasty of Cape Girardeau and Ronnie and Jo Ann Hasty of Ozark, Ala.; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Kay and Doug Tropf and Sue and Butch Watkins of Marble Hill and Pam and Ben Easter of Vanduser.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Jerry Adams, pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be: Ben Easter, Butch Watkins, Doug Tropf, Mike Bogges, Kenneth White and Lonnie Hasty.
