CHAFFEE -- Wilma Pauline Benton, 89, died at 9:45 p.m. Sept. 1, 2007, at Monticello House in Jackson.
Born June 26, 1918, in Tanner, daughter of the late Charles Emmit and Tillie Emeline Harmon Romine, she was a retired machine operator from Florsheim Shoe Company in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, the Daughters of St. Ambrose and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chaffee VFW.
On Jan. 28, 1937, she married Wilfred Louis Anselm, who died on June 17, 1953. She then married William Lee Benton on Sept. 26, 1957, who preceded her in death on July 2, 1970.
Five brothers, one sister and two great-grandchildren also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Raymond Anselm and Robert "Bob" Anselm of Willow, Alaska and Steve Benton of Chaffee; one sister, Naomi Myers of Bethalto, Ill.; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Ralph Duffner will officiate.
Burial will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff Frank, Travis Johnston, Larry Myers, Chris Myers and George Hosier.
