Hamilton wins Super Pro Class

SIKESTON -- The Jr. Dragster at the Sikeston Drag Strip was won by Holly Emery, of Hazel, Ky., over Whitney French of Perryville.

The E.T. Class was won by Gary Doom, of Smithland, Ky. Doom dialed 8.57 and had a reaction time of 549. he ran 8.672 at 79.67 m.p.h. Second place went to Rusty Rayburn, of Hurst, Ill. Hurst dialed 6.55 and had a reaction time of 459. With a red eye, he ran 6.549 at 103.44 m.p.h.

In the Pro Class, Greg Harty of Puxico dialed 6.72 and had a reaction time of 506. He ran 6.745 at 100.89 m.p.h.

In the Super Pro Class, Tracy Hamilton, of Bells, Tenn., took first place.

He dialed 6.37 and had a reaction time of 525. He ran 6.378 at 107.21 m.p.h. Second place went to William Wilson of Arcadia. Wilson dialed 5.70 and had a reaction time of 493. With a red eye, he ran 5.713 at 121.03 m.p.h.

The Sikeston Drag Strip will open early on Saturday, with time trials starting at 3 p.m. Races will start around 5 p.m.
