MOUNT JULIET, Tenn. - Ronald Lynn Jones, 40, formerly of Bertrand, Mo., died at 11:40 a.m. Sept. 18, 2002, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Born Feb. 4, 1962, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Jim and Nellie Jones of Bertrand and Betty Sloan and Bill Holland of Arbyrd, Mo., he was a 1980 graduate of Charleston (Mo.) High School. He moved to Tennessee in 1987 and was a block plant manager for the Lojac Material Company in Lebanon.
On June 9, 2000, he married Debra Garrison who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include: one son, Joey Lynn Jones, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Oceana, Va.; one daughter, Christy Jones of Sikeston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald Glenn and Lisa Jones of Kennett, Mo., and Darrell and Carla Jones of Bertrand; two stepsons, Matt Smith and Trent Smith of Mount Joliet; one stepgrandchild, Keagan Smith of Mount Joliet; one half sister, Angie Jaco of Sikeston; and three half brothers, Keith Sloan of East Prairie, Mo., Tony Graham of Sikeston and Billy Schaffer of Wentzville, Mo.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Herring, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bertrand, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie, Mo.
Pallbearers will be: Stanley Byrd, Dennis Byrd, Kevin Terrell, Craig Karnes, Danny Freeland and Scot Jones.
