BENTON -- Sikeston's Dale Ham ran his personnel best, covering over 5,000 meters in 17.05 to take fourth place in the 10-team Kelly Invitational on Saturday.

Ham again ran a smart race, going out under control and moving up quickly in the middle of the race.

Sikeston multi-sport standout Clay Lincoln ran another outstanding race, finishing fourth in the junior varsity boys race.

Lincoln led for most of the first mile before fading over the last part of the course. Still a very nice race for someone who only trains with the cross-country team part-time.

Jonathan Wiley also ran an excellent race, finishing 11th in the junior varsity race. This was Wiley's second race ever and his first performance on a full 5,000 meter course.

Freshman Brandon Siars also ran well in his first race, finishing in 31st place. In the junior varsity girls race, freshman Kathryn Eilders took home the 12th place medal. It was the first medal this year won by a member of the girls team.

Sikeston's cross country team will be back in action this Saturday, competing in the Cape Central Invitational.
