Sikeston pharmacy robbed

SIKESTON - One Sikeston pharmacy was the location of an attempted robbery and a second robbery attempt was successful at a pharmacy farther down the road Friday evening.

According to Department of Public Safety Director Drew Juden, the attempted robbery occurred around 5:47 p.m. at Medicap on North Main Street. Then around 5:53 there was a robbery at Medicine Shoppe on South Main.

The suspect is described as a white male between 20-25 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall, 175-190 pounds with dark brown hair. At the time, he was wearing a ball cap, baggy blue short-sleeve T-shirt and is possibly driving a gold, tan or brown small four-door car similar to a Toyota.
