SIKESTON - Jacquelyn C. "Jackie" Sparks, 75, died at 10:50 a.m. May 18, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Sept. 28, 1927, in Morehouse, daughter of the late Cleo Freeman and Margaret Wilkins Cain, she graduated in 1945 from Morehouse High School. She attended Methodist Central University at Warrensburg and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. A member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church in Sikeston, she was also a service representative for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years.
On July 21, 1995, in Sikeston, she married William E. Sparks who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Kevin Ward of Sikeston; one daughter, Jami M. Geske of Matthews; and 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One son, Keith Ward, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Avon Raczkowski, pastor of the Wappapello Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
