I was just sitting here looking at a $5 bill. I will be using it to pay for a taxi cab in a few minutes, but I am so thankful to our Lord and Savior that our money still says "In God We Trust" and that we can still mention our God's name without being punished or put in prison or anything.

I have been a Republican all my life, but I can't stand George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Both of these guys are as guilty as they can be from the way their stocks were sold and handled by large corporations. Bush promised all kinds of good things when he was running for office. All he has done is give away the money in the Medicare fund and other surplus funds to his rich friends and big corporations. Just check and see if he does anything for middle class families, veterans, Social Security, small farmers and small business. Now he is asking everyone to elect Republicans so they can help him do more of what he has been doing. Can't everyone see he is using the war on terrorism to gain more control of the country? I don't plan to vote Republican as long as Bush is president, unless Sen. John McCain of Arizona is a candidate for president. That man is a great man, solid as a rock and a real military hero.

I read in the Standard Democrat where more people are in prison. We wonder why. I believe it's because half of the people there are not even guilty, had no trial, were conned into plea bargains. This is destroying our families, destroying our lives. Take a look and see that this is destroying our country.

This is in response to "Caregivers." You are absolutely correct. Your client is abusing you. I would suggest that you talk to the people who have hired you and tell your employer you would like somebody different. You are not the maid; you are a caregiver and caregiving means, yes, doing a good job of cleaning their house and keeping it clean. But it is not deep cleaning. When you go into a home, you go in with a good attitude and a smile on your face and you have a good time. If the house is already clean, take your time. Enjoy. You are not the maid. You are there to love that person and you are there to make their living comfortable and I think you're doing a good job. Sometimes it goes unrewarded. Sometimes other people think you're the maid, but you're not. You are not paid to be the maid. You are paid to take care.

First, Bush said we were in a recession when he was running for office. Now he's flying all over the country in this big plane, raising money for the politicians. Who do you think is paying for that? Not the politicians he's trying to help. The taxpayers are. He needs to stay in Washington for a few days. He needs to stay up there and see what he can do for the rest of the people instead of the politicians. We know they're all crooked anyway.

I am calling for the person who had questions about her fingernails. I have beautiful, healthy fingernails, so I can give you some of the things I do. I drink milk every day and if you don't want to use whole milk, use 2 percent or skim milk. Soak your hands in soapy water and massage the cuticles. That's where the roots are. Don't use any nail polish that has acetone in it. Read the label and it will tell you if it contains acetone. It may take a month or two to see results, but if you do some of the things I have suggested, it may help you. Be sure and massage the cuticle. I hope this helps and I think it will.

To the person with bad fingernails, you should tell your doctor you need some Lamisil 500 pills. That will take care of it. But you will have to have your blood monitored.
