BENTON -- The preliminary hearing for the Sikeston man accused of raping and robbing an elderly woman has been moved to June 4.
Donald Wayne Triblett, 18, was slated to appear Wednesday in front of Judge David Mann in Associate Court for the preliminary hearing on felony charges of forcible rape, forcible sodomy, first degree assault, armed criminal action, first degree burglary and first degree elderly abuse. His bond remains at $1 million.
The charges stem from an incident that took place in the early morning hours of March 29. According to police reports, Triblett forced his way into the victim's home at around 3 a.m., sexually assaulting and robbing the woman. He was then picked up by the Sikeston Department of Public Safety at around 7:45 a.m. March 30 in another incident.
