CAPE GIRARDEAU - Wade A. Gurley, 62, died May 15, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Born Aug. 31, 1940, in Sikeston, son of the late Ralph and Verna Dubois Gurley, he was a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad, formerly the Cotton Belt Railroad. He was a member of the Elks and served with the National Guard.

On Oct. 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau, he married Sue Boyer who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jon and Julie Gurley of Cape Girardeau and Jeff and Amy Gurley of Osage Beach; two sisters, Judy Wright of Jefferson City and Pam Exler of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Humphries in 1991.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
