LaCENTER, Ky. -- Bobby Joe Prayor, 69, died at 1:10 p.m. May 14, 2003, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Born Nov. 21, 1933, in Wyatt, Mo., son of the late Donald Eugene and Kathleen O'Connor Prayor, he had lived in Granite City, Ill., most of his life, where he was employed as a chef with Hullings Cafeteria. In 1993, he moved to Paducah and had lived at the Life Care Center in LaCenter for the past year. He was of the Catholic belief.
Survivors include: two brothers, Billy Prayor of Wyatt and Bruce Prayor of Plainview, Texas; two sisters, Nelda Fitzgerald of Wyatt and Ella Craven of Wickliffe; and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Joyce Cossey and Julia Ann Hartley, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Anniston (Mo.) Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Meeks, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Charleston, Mo., officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Don Skinner, Cliff Cossey, Tracy Cossey, Butch Cossey, Jim Cossey and James O'Connor.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
