SIKESTON - Miss Frances Burch announced today the cast for the senior play, a three-act comedy "Best Foot Forward," which is to be conducted May 21. The cast includes: Bill Foley, Charles Boyd, Joe Cooley, Sue Tanner, Mary Lewis and others.

SIKESTON - The general offices of the Sikeston Board of Education have been moved from North Kingshighway to a new location in what is known as the nurses home building, just south of the Missouri Delta Community Hospital on Highway 61 North. The two-story building has been remodeled to provide offices on the first floor and a classroom, other offices and storage rooms on the second floor.

COLUMBIA - Jeffrey Byrne, a college senior from Charleston, has already logged over 11,000 miles in his campaign for co-chairman of the College Republican National Committee. The 22-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Byrne of Charleston announced his candidacy April 3.

SIKESTON - Flood waters are receding now, but some high water remains. Several horses last week had trouble finding green vegetation in a flooded pasture on Ables Road. One fortunate horse found food at a shallow area near the fence.

SIKESTON - For the Sikeston boys track team, winning the SEMO Conference title is getting to be old hat. Even though the Bulldogs captured their third consecutive title on Friday, none were tougher to get.

SIKESTON - Jesse Robinson, certified nursing assistant, has seen the spectrum of life in her nursing career. She began delivering patient care in a local nursing home and has now come full circle to the Pediatric Unit at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
