Born June 19, 1939, in New Madrid County, Mo., son of the late Shirley Martin and Mildred Rosalie Blyzes Banks, he lived in Catoasa for many years and was a boilermaker.
Survivors include: two sons, Steven Martin Banks of Tulsa and David Vincent Banks of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Terry Lynn Robbins and Tracey Ann Brown of Phoenix and Robin Lee Siracuse of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Melvin Banks of St. Louis, Mo., and Arthur Banks of St. Clair, Mo.; three sisters, Ann Hatton of Sikeston, Mo., Judy Humphreys of Pell City, Ala., and Evelyn Mills of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One brother, Shirley Banks, preceded him in death.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday with David Dowdy, officiating.
Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
