CHARLESTON - Thelma Donaldson Files, 76, died at 12:35 p.m. Nov. 13, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 16, 1926, in Charleston, daughter of the late Overton and Marie Williams Donaldson, she was of the Baptist belief. She was a lifelong resident of Charleston, where she worked for the Brown Shoe Company for 36 years before retiring in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary DeLane Files on April 23, 1994; and one brother, Charles Donaldson and one sister, Bertha Lee.
Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Darlene Files of Diehlstadt; and two grandchildren, Gary Don Files and Lori Beth Files of Diehlstadt.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
