MORLEY - Bobbie Scott, a guard on the Morley basketball team, is suffering from two broken ribs she received while playing in a game at Benton. Miss Scott is slowly recovering.

* * * SIKESTON - Pfc. Tobe B. McConnell is now in England. He is the son of Ed McConnell and his wife lives in Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Ralph Williams has announced he has sold his stock in the Ralph Williams Motor Company to Clint Elledge and Bryce Fisher, both of Lutesville. Both of these men have been associated with the Lutesville Motor Company, Ford Agency of Lutesville.

SIKESTON - According to an article written by Bill Lawson, chief juvenile officer for the 33rd Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri, the juvenile court of Scott and Mississippi counties is very active in child abuse and neglect cases. In 1984 the court received in excess of 400 referrals charging abuse or neglect of children in the circuit. This reflects a dramatic increase in the number of cases handled by the court.

SIKESTON - The 1995 assessment lists have been mailed out and anyone who has not received one can call the Scott County assessor's office. Temporary offices will be set up Wednesday at the Heritage House and the Sikeston City Hall from 9 a.m. to noon for people wanting help in filling out the forms.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Public School of Nursing will have their LPN capping ceremony for Class 34 at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the first Assembly of God Church, 306 S. Kingshighway. Guest speaker will be Mary Mitchell with Sikeston Healthcare Facilities.
