SIKESTON -- Sikeston's junior high track team was back in action on Friday afternoon, hosting Jackson in a dual meet.
The Bulldogs lost the boys meet by a score of 97-35. In the 800 meters, Jacob Owens took first place with a time of 2:26.25.
In the pole vault competition, Justin Deere took top honors with a vault of 8-feet, 9-inches.
Jackson won the girls meet by a score of 108-24.
Sikeston's 4 x 200 meter relay team took first place with a time of 1:58. Markeitha Davis also placed first in the long jump with a leap of 14-feet, 3-inches.
Sikeston's junior high track squad will be back in action on Thursday, participating in the Poplar Bluff Invitational.
