DEXTER - Joel Hiriam Fields, 92, died April 15, 2003, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.
Born Dec. 3, 1910, in Morring, Tenn., son of the late Jefferson Holiday and Beatrice May Reedy Fields, he was a road maintenance worker for Liberty Township before retiring.
On June 10, 1933, in Portageville, he married Willajean Idell Smith who preceded him in death on July 20, 1998.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Myrna Fields of Dexter; two sisters, Francis Schoolfield of St. Charles and Janette Golden of Kimberling City; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Jeanne Fields; two brothers, Rufus Fields and Thomas Fields; and five sisters, Clara Hayes, Virgie Smith, Irene Sebastian, Marie Espey and Jewel Christopher.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Ron Williams will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
