Georgia Yarbery

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Georgia L. Yarbery, 73, formerly of Charleston, died Jan. 11, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born Feb. 18, 1931, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late John and Helen Cook Yarbery, she retired as a cook for St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Church of Deliverance in Charleston, where she served on the Mothers' Board.

Survivors include: four daughters, Viola Bryant and Vanessa Yarbery of Dyersburg, Tenn., Margaret Cummings of Springfield and Donna Austin of Kennett; two sisters, Etta Mae Johnson and Leanna McElmurry of Cape Girardeau; one brother, A.W. Yarber of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church of Deliverance. Elder Jessie McNell will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
